Get ready for an unforgettable day of rodeo action and community fun at the 2026 8 Seconds for Addiction Xtreme Roughstock Rodeo! This year, we’re thrilled to bring you the Run for Recovery Barrel Race, alongside all the heart-pounding 8-second rides. Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Ranch Bronc, Bulls, and Mini Bulls!

Come early and enjoy a cold Coors Edge, live music from Colton James, local vendor shopping, a spin on the mechanical bull, and mutton bustin’ for the little cowpokes!
At 4:30 PM, join the Chute Tour with The Quilted K, where you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at rodeo life, learn about the history of the Colorado State Fairgrounds, and discover fun facts about SOBER COWBOY.
Then, at 5:00 PM, it’s time for the Calcutta Team Auction — bid on your favorite riders for a chance to win back money when your team wins!

When the chutes open, the excitement really kicks off! Enjoy jaw-dropping performances from Pueblo’s own Tuff Ingo, dazzling routines by the Top Hands Royalty, and non-stop laughs and entertainment from rodeo clown JD Shultze.
We’ll also celebrate hope and new beginnings during the SOBER COWBOY Scholarship Presentation, honoring individuals making positive impacts in the recovery and western communities.
For the crowd, there’s even more fun in store — cheer on the kids’ stick horse race, jump into the adult boot race, and don’t miss our giveaways from local sponsors throughout the night!

In 2025 our rodeo was one to remember! SOBER COWBOY received the summit award for 1st place non-fair event with the RMAF (Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs) through the Colorado State Fair. We are proud to have held an event bringing awareness to addiction in the western lifestyle, with entertainment and memories to last!
