SOBER COWBOY 2026 Scholarship
Presented at the 3rd annual ‘8 Seconds for Addiction’
The SOBER COWBOY Scholarship will be awarded to a young person whose life has been touched by the impact of addiction — whether through a parent, guardian, or close family member, — and who has shown strength, resilience, and determination in the face of those challenges.
Our mission is to encourage and support the next generation of leaders, cowboys, cowgirls, and community changers by investing in their future. We believe that growing up around addiction does not define your destiny — your courage, hard work, and faith do.
The recipient of this scholarship will be someone who:
Demonstrates perseverance and a positive attitude despite adversity.
Has a commitment to personal growth, education, or career goals. This includes college, a rodeo career, farming or ranching.
Shows a willingness to be a light for others facing similar struggles.
SOBER COWBOY aims to honor stories of hope, healing, and grit. This scholarship is not only a recognition of what you’ve overcome, but an investment in what you will achieve.
Recipient selection will be announced in April of 2026. Applications must be submitted by March 15th.
